Mark currently works with some of Australia’s largest corporations facilitating leadership programs and assisting these organisations through the change process. Mark has built working relationships within the Energy and Mining Sectors, Public Service and major private organisations. Mark was a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Senior Facilitator in Leadership for many years.

He is 
highly skilled in the use of facilitated experiential learning to assist participants to gain knowledge and skills in Leadership, Communication, OH&S, Quality Management, Workplace Training and Coaching, Change Leadership and Legal Studies. Mark has over 15 years of experience in corporate and military training and facilitation. January 2002 to Present - Contract Facilitator

Facilitator. Delivering training on behalf of Australian Institute of Management, Brainpower Training, and Institute of Public Administration Australia. Specialising in Frontline Management, Leadership and Motivation, Change Leadership, Team Dynamics, Project Management, Risk Management, Presentation Skills and soft skills training.

January 2004 to February 2007 - Officer In Charge SPS RAAF Amberley Royal Australian Air Force College School of Postgraduate Studies

Officer in Charge of RAAF Amberley detachment of RAAF College School of Postgraduate Studies, providing Frontline Management training to RAAF Airmen. Responsible for the development, leadership, mentoring and management of 9 staff entrusted with the delivery of FLM residential training. Senior Facilitator for the Australian Defence Force Advanced Facilitation program. Assisting trainers and selected staff to undertake demanding facilitation roles. Superior facilitation, mentoring and leadership skills required. Advanced application of strategic planning skills required. Awarded a commendation by the Commander of Training, Royal Australian Air Force, for excellence in Leadership training.

January 2002 to December 2003 - Training Coordinator, Defence International Training Centre

Senior facilitator on the Australian Reception and Familiarisation Course, providing training to South East Asian, Middle Eastern and South Pacific Defence Force and other selected overseas personnel. This course assists the integration of these personnel into Australian training systems, and fosters cross-cultural awareness between members of the Australian Defence Force, Autralian Public Service and foreign military personnel. Responsible to Executive Officer for the leadership and development of the Reception and Familiarisation Team. Leadership, motivation and team building skills required. Complex application of cultural awareness skills required.

July 1999 to December 2001 - Facilitator, Airmen Leadership Flight, School of Post-graduate Studies

Senior facilitator. Utilising facilitated experiential learning to inculcate airmen with knowledge and skills in leadership, communication, WH&S, quality management, workplace training and coaching, and legal studies. This two-week residential course conducted for groups of 12 – 18 personnel is designed to provide maximum learning outcomes through the employment of multi- sensory experiential learning techniques. Advanced employment of leadership, motivation and team building skills displayed. A sophisticated understanding, and employment, of facilitation and instructional skills required.

1996 to 1999 - Human Resource Manager, Defence Acquisitions Organisation

Develop and maintain human resource management systems for Defence Acquisition Organisation. Manage 700 established positions to fulfil the requirements of a highly fluid multi-project environment. Direct liaison with career managers to ensure the best-qualified staff are employed within designated projects. Reporting and advising senior management on establishment issues within the organisation. Liaise with senior management of other organisations to achieve the objectives of the Acquisitions Organisation. Exceptionally advanced people skills, organisational skills, information technology and strategic skills are essential to the position.

1993 to 1995 / 1986-1988 - Careers Adviser, Defence Force Recruiting Branch

Careers adviser, responsible for initial interviewing of prospective employees. Maintaining and developing strong networks with public and private education facilities, Commonwealth Employment Service, community organisations, Air Training Corps and local government bodies to assist in the recruitment of Defence Force personnel. Media liaison being a key role in this representative duty. Exceptionally strong people skills, organisational skills and representational abilities are employed within this position.
