PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE
To enable supervisors, team leaders and managers to build teamwork and reduce conflict within teams. To be able to motivate a team to achieve the organisation goals and h how to set clear expectations for team members.

LEARNING BENEFITS
After completion of this programme, the participants will be able to:
• Establish the need for a leader and explore qualities that leaders display. You will develop expectations of leaders and explore the importance of role modelling. You will also explore the responsibilities of good staff. You will participate in a fun and powerful activity that clearly demonstrates why teams need a leader and what part team members play in the achievement of goals. Each team will develop and publish a list of the expectations they have of their leaders and what they are willing to do as followers.
• Establish standards of behaviour. During this session you will explore Team Dynamics. You will gain an understanding of why there may be conflict in a team. You will then create a set of Team Norms. This is an agreement of how you will treat each other in the workplace and how you will work together to make the workplace a happier place to be. You will create a poster of the actions you have agreed to take and will take this back to the workplace as a constant reminder of what you have agreed to do.
• Explore the part a supervisor plays in motivating staff. You will develop strategies to build good behaviours and you will develop strategies to deal with conflict effectively..
• You will explore the internal and external customer networks that exist in your organisation. You will develop a network diagram and identify the importance of working to help your colleagues to deliver a better product to the customer. You will explore the power of an effective Vision for your team and gain an understanding of how trust is built in high performing teams.
TRAINING STRUCTURE
This programme is presented by two NTC accredited trainers with exceptional results in developing high performing teams in complex organisations. The programme is highly experiential, focussing on practical skills and strategies for the workplace. Participants will work in small groups to develop tactics to take back to the workplace to immediately make a difference. The program includes handouts and opportunity for participants to work with the facilitators, one on one, to develop personal coaching tips.
